About the Client

You will contribute to a mission-critical initiative for a global organization specializing in safety science, delivering testing, certification, auditing, and advisory services across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, health sciences, and emerging technologies. Their objective is to ensure safety, compliance, and trust in products and processes around the world.

About the Project

The Automation Initiative is focused on modernizing a legacy system, which has been operational for nearly two decades. Over the years, the platform has accumulated a substantial backlog of manual test cases. The project's main objective is to significantly increase test coverage and testing efficiency by converting these manual cases into automated tests, thereby improving product reliability and streamlining ongoing validation efforts.

As part of this initiative, the QA Automation team will:

  • Work within an established automation framework based on C# and SpecFlow.

  • Collaborate closely with the manual QA team to gain insights into test logic and historical context.

  • Systematically select and automate test cases from the existing backlog.

  • Contribute to achieving the target of automating approximately 75% of the total test coverage.

Additionally, the organization is reinforcing its agile development teams by integrating senior software engineers who will work on both legacy components and modern microservices (C# and XJS), supporting faster and higher-quality ticket resolution across the system landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Automate existing manual test cases using the company’s standard test automation framework.

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts with C#, Selenium, and SpecFlow.

  • Participate in regular syncs with manual QA analysts to ensure accurate interpretation of test logic.

  • Conduct regular code reviews and ensure alignment with automation standards and best practices.

  • Actively contribute to raising the automated test coverage target (approx. 75%).

  • Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and support regression test cycles.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of automation coverage and reusable components.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in QA Automation, especially in projects involving legacy modernization.

  • Advanced proficiency in C#, Selenium, and SpecFlow.

  • Strong understanding of BDD principles and test-driven development practices.

  • Experience transforming manual test suites into automated scripts with measurable coverage improvements.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with remote and cross-functional teams.

  • Availability to work 10:00 am – 5:00 pm UK time.

  • Residence in LATAM (required).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

  • Exposure to legacy enterprise systems and integration of monolithic and microservices architectures.

  • Understanding of codebase versioning and transition challenges in long-lived platforms.

What We Offer

  • 100% remote position with flexible, multicultural collaboration.

  • Work on impactful modernization initiatives for global organizations.

  • Long-term engagement with room for professional growth.

  • Supportive work culture that values autonomy, learning, and quality delivery.
