In All Media is a nearshore managed service provider specialized in team augmentation and digital product delivery. We assemble senior LATAM-based engineering squads from our vetted Coderfull community (500+ professionals) to integrate with client teams and support software, cloud, data, and AI projects.
Our approach is community-driven, remote-first, and centered on measurable outcomes.
We are looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst to support the Cloud Economics function of a global R&D organization. The focus of this role is to integrate OpenAI and broader AI/ML cloud spending into established cost governance frameworks, improve the visibility and accuracy of cost reporting, and strengthen budget accountability across engineering teams.
You will work across Finance, Cloud, Observability, and Data teams to replace manual financial processes with automated, reliable systems. This includes implementing standardized reporting pipelines, using analytical tools to surface cost insights, and developing guidelines that promote responsible AI service adoption.
This position is ideal for someone who combines strong FinOps experience with hands-on data skills and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure.
Budget and Cost Governance
• Standardize OpenAI and AI-related cloud spending within enterprise cost governance frameworks.
• Ensure consistent visibility into R&D budgets across Datadog, Stitcher, and internal reporting tools.
Automation and Reporting
• Build and maintain automated data pipelines to replace manual reporting, forecasting, and alerting workflows.
• Produce clean, auditable datasets to support monthly financial reviews and variance analysis.
Cost Analysis and Insights
• Analyze AI/ML workloads and identify cost drivers, focusing on GPU usage, training cycles, inference costs, and data movement.
• Develop automated explanations for cost fluctuations to help engineering teams understand consumption patterns.
Guidelines and Best Practices
• Document usage guidelines for OpenAI and other AI services.
• Identify patterns of inefficient consumption and recommend corrective actions.
Target Tracking and Observability
• Work with Cloud and Observability teams to pilot tooling for team-level budget tracking, proactive alerts, and compliance with spending targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Align forecasting models, reporting standards, and cost allocation methodologies with FinOps, Engineering, Cloud, and Finance stakeholders.
FinOps Expertise
• 6+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Data Analytics, or related roles.
• At least 2 years applying FinOps principles in cost management, reporting, or governance.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional (mandatory).
AI/ML Cost Orientation
• Experience analyzing costs associated with AI/ML services, including GPU-based workloads, Sagemaker, or Vertex AI.
• Ability to identify the cost implications of training, inference, storage, and data transfer.
Cloud Cost Management
• Practical experience with AWS cost tools (Cost Explorer, Apptio, CloudHealth, Kion, Cloudability).
• Understanding of cost allocation models, tagging strategies, budgeting workflows, and saving mechanisms.
Data and Analytics
• Strong SQL skills for building cost datasets and running detailed analyses.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets abilities (pivot tables, lookups, automation).
• Experience with data pipelines or visualization tools such as Datadog, Snowflake, or Stitcher.
Cloud Infrastructure
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture (AWS preferred).
• Exposure to GCP or Snowflake is a plus.
Communication
• Ability to communicate cost insights clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
• English level B2+ required for daily interaction.
• Experience with FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS).
• Experience building automations related to cost governance.
• Prior involvement in AI/ML infrastructure projects.
Language
All interviews, documentation, and day-to-day collaboration will be conducted in English.
