Lead Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior QA Engineer who is passionate about ensuring the quality and performance of our products through meticulous testing practices.
We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer with expertise in API testing, performance testing, and AWS experience to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our advertising systems and streaming media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers, both on-site and offshore, in designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for our media applications.
- Mentor team members on test automation best practices, including the use of Java-based frameworks such as TestNG Maven Java and Rest Assured.
- Conduct functional API testing to validate the behavior and performance of our APIs.
- Utilize commercial or open-source tools like jMeter, Curl, and WebPageTest to perform performance testing and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application behavior and identify efficient testing strategies.
- Demonstrate significant knowledge of AWS cloud platform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Utilize dynamic ad insertion experience to ensure seamless integration and functionality of advertising systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in testing methodologies, AWS services, and advertising technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience leading engineers in on-site and offshore teams.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation using Java-based frameworks (TestNG, Rest Assured, etc.).
- 5+ years of functional API testing experience.
- 3+ years of performance testing experience using commercial or open-source tools.
- 2+ years of experience testing advertising systems, particularly in dynamic ad insertion.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platform and CI/CD tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
- Prior experience with Node.js/GoLang and advertising-based systems.
- AVOD/streaming media experience is strongly preferred.
