You will join a high-impact initiative for a global leader in the HR and employment technology sector. The projectβs mission is to revolutionize internal employee communications by applying the same data-driven rigor used for external customers.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be the backbone of the Employee Communications team, leveraging data to optimize the "Employee Journey." You will help transform how a massive, global workforce interacts with internal content by building the frameworks that measure reach, engagement, and sentiment across multiple platforms.
π Key Responsibilities
- Metric Definition: Define KPIs and "North Star" metrics to track engagement across internal channels including email, Slack, and Intranet.
- Tracking Architecture: Design and QA event schemas and tagging for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to monitor internal campaign performance.
- Data Visualization: Build automated, executive-ready dashboards in Looker Studio or Tableau to showcase impact to leadership.
- Audience Analytics: Analyze complex audience data by geography, department, and device to uncover deep engagement patterns.
- Optimization & Testing: Conduct A/B testing on content timing and channel mix, developing attribution models to measure specific employee actions.
- Data Governance: Maintain high standards of data quality by managing UTM standards, event taxonomies, and metadata.
- Strategic Insights: Provide ad-hoc deep dives and data storytelling to guide executive decision-making.
π‘ Must-Have Skills
- GA4 Expert: Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4 implementation and analysis.
- BI & Modeling: Expert-level experience with Looker Studio or Tableau for sophisticated data modeling and visualization.
- Advanced SQL: Strong ability to write complex queries to join datasets from disparate communication and HR platforms.
- Domain Experience: 3β5+ years of experience in digital, marketing, or product analytics.
- Data Integrity: Deep understanding of UTM standards and analytics accuracy protocols.
- Soft Skills: Ability to translate complex technical insights into actionable narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Remote Excellence: Proven experience working in Agile teams within 100% remote environments.
- Language: Fluent English for daily professional communication.
π Nice-to-Have Skills
- Programming: Proficiency in Python for complex data manipulation and analysis.
- Specialized Tooling: Experience with Internal Communication tools such as Poppulo or LumApps.
- Advanced Analytics: Knowledge of blending behavioral data (clicks/views) with attitudinal data (surveys/sentiment).
π Location & Time Zone
This is a 100% remote position for residents in LATAM. To ensure seamless collaboration with our client, candidates must be able to work within Central Time (CT) business hours.
