Today, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead key initiatives for one of our most innovative fintech clients, ensuring successful delivery of AWS infrastructure and security-related projects in a PCI-compliant environment.
Position Overview
As Project Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering and collaborate closely with Security, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure teams. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives across a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment. The ideal candidate is structured, delivery-focused, and able to operate confidently within highly technical and regulated environments without needing to be hands-on.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison across Security, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps teams, ensuring alignment in planning and execution.

Lead the definition, grooming, and prioritization of backlog items in partnership with technical SMEs.

Coordinate sprint planning, ceremonies, and milestone tracking across concurrent workstreams.

Monitor project risks and issues proactively, escalating when necessary and driving resolution.

Maintain thorough documentation to support traceability, compliance, and audit readiness.

Track estimates vs. actuals, refine estimation models, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Support cost reduction initiatives, particularly related to AWS infrastructure efficiency.

Balance both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies, adapting based on project needs.
Required Qualifications
-
6+ years of experience managing software or infrastructure projects in a technology-driven organization.

Proven experience leading projects in cloud-native environments, particularly with AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, etc.).

Solid understanding of compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST, or SOC 2.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure tooling, and DevSecOps practices.

Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple parallel teams and priorities.

Expertise in Agile delivery: backlog grooming, sprint planning, stakeholder alignment, and tracking estimations.

Experience in facilitating meetings across multicultural, cross-functional teams in distributed environments.

Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to security standards and controls implementation, even if not in a hands-on capacity.

Experience documenting delivery metrics through dashboards (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Power BI is a plus).

Familiarity with managing project binders, tracking audit trails, and reporting delivery progress to both technical and business stakeholders.
